INFECTION MITIGATION PLAN AND
RETURN TO SCHOOL INFORMATION

DIRECTIVES FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH (SFDPH)

​St. Stephen School is following the orders, directives, and guidance provided by the SFDPH as well as the State of California and the CDC. Please refer to these two documents for the latest SFDPH order and guidance .

DIRECTIVE OF THE HEALTH OFFICER No. 2020-33, DIRECTIVE OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO REGARDING REQUIRED BEST PRACTICES FOR SCHOOLS (PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTIVE), DATE OF DIRECTIVE: September 18, 2020

Reopening TK-12 Schools for In-Person, On-Site Instruction Preliminary Guidance for School Year 2020-2021: See (https://www.sfdph.org/dph/alerts/covid-guidance/Preliminary-Guidance-TK12-Schools.pdf)

We must follow the directives of the San Francisco Department of Public Health. These protocols include:
(1) No one enter if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, or not feeling well);
(2) Maintaining a minimum six-foot distance from others in line and in the facility;
(3) Wearing a face covering;
(4) Frequent hand washing and wash for 20 seconds or more
(5) Self-report if you are experiencing symptoms
(6) Stay home if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, or not feeling well)
(7) Report COVID -19 confirmed cases
(8) Assist SFDPH in contact tracing
(9) Quarantine any individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 , confirmed COVID-19, had symptoms of COVID-19 OR  was not tested, OR was tested but is still waiting for the test result, OR had close contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19.

SOCIAL DISTANCING, FACE COVERING, HAND WASHING and COUGHING/SNEEZING PROTOCOLS

WHAT DO TO IF YOUR STUDENT OR FAMILY MEMBER HAS DEVELOPED COVID SYMPTOMS?
To report any symptoms to the office please call us at 415-664-8331 (7:45a.m.-3:45 p.m.). After school hours please email the office at office@sfststephenschool.org. If your child is
experiencing any symptoms please keep them at home.

OFFICE PROTOCOLS
  • Office Protocols Regarding Visitors: Please note that only essential visitors are allowed in the school building or office per local health mandates.  Visitors need to complete a Health Screening Form prior to entering the campus. 
  • Office Protocols Regarding Items for the Office: This is the procedure If you have items for the office: 
    • Documents: Please scan and email forms to: office@sfststephenschool.org
    • Checks: If you need to send a check to the office, we ask that you please mail it. 
    • Other items:  We’ve received several questions about dropping off items and stopping by at the office. Please know that due to local mandates, we are unable to have visitors at this time. If there is a special circumstance that requires you to drop off an item at the office, please call the office and we will explain the procedure. 

HOURS OF OPERATION AND DAILY SCHEDULE
​School Hours
  • From Monday through Friday, students who return to school will attend class onsite based on the following schedule.​
Drop-off Times
For students attending classes on-site, we will have staggered drop-off times to maintain social distancing. The drop off-times are: 
  • K, 1, 2: 7:50am to 7:55am
  • 3, 4, 5: 8:00am to 8:05am
  • 6, 7, 8: 8:00am to 8:05am
  • Students will go directly to their classrooms. They cannot mingle or gather. 

Dismissal Times
  • Kinder: Dismissal at 2:30pm
  • 1, 2: Dismissal at 2:40pm
  • 3, 4, 5: Dismissal at 2:45pm
  • 6, 7, 8: Dismissal at 2:50pm
